Young Writers to Follow Book Launch

We have selected all of the pieces for the 2018 Young Writers to Follow anthology. 
Until we receive every release form, we cannot publish the list of short stories/essays/poems chosen. All of the teachers, parents, and/or students have been notified. If you submitted a piece and are unsure, ask the teacher you submitted through if they received an email from our Executive Editor, Susan Lewis. Please check spam/junk folders. 
If you did receive a congratulatory letter with contract, fill in all required fields and return as quickly as possible (ensuring to keep a copy for yourself), as we are pushing to publish before Christmas.

New Young Writers Contest

Just Announced:

Proper Publishing is proud to host the first tri-county writing contest for Middle and High School students, limited to student's in Florida's Escambia, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County school districts.
            Students have the opportunity to submit poetry (32 line max), flash fiction (500 word max), short story (3000 word max) or essay (1200 word max) but may only enter the contest once. NO MULTIPLE GENRE SUBMISSIONS!
            Submissions will only be accepted via email. Submission MUST be sent as an email attachment, containing the included necessary information as a separate page with all fields complete. Submissions written in the body of the email or missing contact information will be deleted.
            Contest submission window is September 1-October 15. Submit your students best work, encourage experimentation and uniqueness. There is no prompt or theme for the first contest. Our Editor-in-Chief, Susan Lewis, wants to see raw talent and writing in its purest form.
            Students chosen by Mrs. Lewis will be published in an anthology available on Amazon Worldwide and Kindle Worldwide. They will also receive a free copy of the book. Each school with a student/students chosen will receive one free book. We are planning to have the book published before Christmas.
            We hope you see this as a wonderful opportunity to encourage artistic growth and self-esteem in your students because that is our only goal.
